The presentation of the book “NEXT. A brief history of the future” by Avi Jorisch was held on April 4 in the Main Auditorium of La Rural. It was an event that brought together multiple professional personalities, businessmen, public officials, diplomats, disseminators of culture and ideas, emphasizing the commitment to the promotion of ideas and new initiatives in technology, innovation and sustainability.
The author, Avi Jorisch, is an American-Israeli entrepreneur and writer, with a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Birmingham and a master’s degree in Islamic History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is co-founder and CEO of the Israel Economic Forum (IEF), an elite membership organization of CEOs, business executives and world leaders working to support Israel (www.IEFnetwork.org). He is also a senior fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and author of the best-selling book “You Will Innovate: How Israeli Ingenuity Repairs the World,” translated into more than forty languages.
The book presented narrates 13 cases of technological innovations with positive impact around the world, and predicts that in the face of the great challenges facing humanity “the future will be bright due to resilience.”
In addition, “NEXT. A brief history of the future” has the particularity of having forewords by three ambassadors, Marc Stanley, Ambassador of the United States to the Argentine Republic, Eyal Sela, Ambassador of Israel to Argentina, and Dinesh Bhatia, Ambassador of India in Argentina, who during the event were honoured with a TAEDA recognition.
