TAEDA was proud to invite the then Minister of Defense of Brazil, jurist Nelson Jobim, who also served as the President of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and was a prominent political figure in the main regional power. His lecture focused on Brazil’s defense policy, the potential of integrating our military industries, protecting our precious natural resources, and the urgent need to collectively face the challenges of globalization in a world full of turbulence and threats.
It was the first time that Brazil’s Strategic Defense Plan was presented outside Brazilian territory.
The event was attended by Frank Mora, at that time Chief of the Pentagon and currently the United States Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS).
