Book Presentation in Uruguay: “Artificial Intelligence for Good” in collaboration with Microsoft

Mario Montoto se refirió al trabajo de la Fundación Taeda en torno a la IA

In March 2026, Fundación TAEDA took a new step forward in its innovation and international cooperation agenda with the presentation, in Montevideo, Uruguay, of the book “Artificial Intelligence for Good”, written by Juan Miguel Lavista Ferrés, Corporate Vice President and Chief Data Scientist of Microsoft’s AI for Good Lab, and edited and translated into Spanish by Fundación TAEDA.

The event brought together leaders from the technological, academic, and public sectors in a space for dialogue aimed at reflecting on the impact of artificial intelligence on the region’s most pressing challenges. The activity took place at Teatro Solís, one of the country’s most emblematic cultural venues, reinforcing the regional and interdisciplinary nature of the initiative.

The publication compiles concrete experiences in the application of artificial intelligence across key areas such as environmental sustainability, health, and humanitarian action, highlighting the potential of these technologies to generate innovative solutions to structural challenges.

Beyond the book launch, the event served as a platform for strategic exchange on the role of artificial intelligence in Latin America—its opportunities, its challenges, and the need to promote technological development that is inclusive, responsible, and oriented toward the common good.

This initiative reflects Fundación TAEDA’s commitment to advancing agendas that integrate technology, development, and international cooperation, strengthening connections between public and private stakeholders and positioning the region within the global conversation on the future of innovation.
